First Grade

Printing

  • All documents are laid out to support front and back printing.

Scope & Sequence

  • Pacing model on far right hand side

    • Level 1 – above grade level

    • Level 2 – on grade level

    • Level 3 – below grade level

  • Select proper pacing level, then following selected pacing, deliver the lessons in numerical order. If there is no number in the column, skip to the next numbered lesson.

Weekly Overview

  • Can be used in lieu of the Daily Lessons once you become familiar enough with all the procedures and components.

  • 5-days per page.

  • Does not include checkpoint instruction. For these you will need to refer to the Daily Lessons.

  • Brief review of components can be found at the end of the document.

Daily Lesson Plans

  • Five daily lessons per file.

  • Checkpoint instructions are included in the appropriate lesson plan file. For example, checkpoint 1, which comes after lesson 1.025, can be found in the file including lessons 1.021-1.025.


Daily Lesson Slide Shows - New

  • New lesson slide shows have been created to fully support each OG lesson plan.

  • The visual and blending drills have been premade and are included in the slides.

  • Make sure to access the OG lesson and read the notes that are included on each slide prior to delivery to students. The notes and lesson plan are key for a successful presentation to students.

  • The majority of slide shows have been created at each grade level; all of the remaining slide shows are being finalized.


Handwriting

  • All templates and scripts needed for teaching manuscript.

Fluency

  • Decodable passages that align with the lesson.

  • Contain skills that have been previously introduced.

  • Unfair words are identified for pre-teaching and underscored in the passage.

Materials & Support

  • Additional materials needed for lesson delivery.

  • SRS, ABC picture strip, CUPS card, red and blue hands.
